Terms and Conditions
These terms explain the rules for using Vocabify and the responsibilities we have to each other.
Effective date:
Key points
- Use Vocabify lawfully and do not interfere with the service or other users.
- AI-generated definitions and examples may contain errors, so verify important information.
- You keep ownership of the content you submit and give us only the rights needed to operate the service.
- Vocabify is currently free. We will clearly ask for your consent before charging for any future paid feature.
1. Agreement and scope
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Vocabify website, applications, and related vocabulary-learning services. By using Vocabify, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to accept these terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to them for you.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, keeping your login details secure, and activity performed through your account. Please contact us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
3. The Vocabify service
Vocabify helps you create, organize, and review vocabulary flashcards using tools such as artificial intelligence and spaced repetition. Learning results vary, and we do not guarantee any particular exam score, language level, or learning outcome.
AI-generated definitions, translations, examples, pronunciations, and classifications can be incomplete or incorrect. They are learning aids rather than professional, academic, legal, medical, or other expert advice. Check important information against reliable sources.
4. Acceptable use
When using Vocabify, you agree not to:
- break applicable laws or infringe another person’s rights;
- upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the service;
- scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or misuse the service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable load on Vocabify; or
- submit unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harmful content.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of words, decks, notes, and other content you submit. You give Vocabify a limited, non-exclusive right to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit your content. Do not upload confidential, highly sensitive, or personal information that is not necessary for vocabulary learning.
6. Vocabify content and intellectual property
The Vocabify name, visual identity, software, interface, and original content are owned by Vocabify or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership to you.
7. Availability, changes, and pricing
We work to keep Vocabify available, but the service may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, security, technical problems, or reasons outside our control. We may add, change, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.
Vocabify is currently offered free of charge. If we introduce a paid feature, we will clearly explain its price and material conditions and obtain your consent before charging you.
8. Third-party services
Vocabify may link to or rely on third-party services. Their own terms and privacy practices apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for third-party content or services that we do not control.
9. Disclaimer and liability
Vocabify is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Vocabify will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Vocabify at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, comply with law, investigate misuse, or address a serious or repeated breach of these terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Vocabify changes or legal requirements evolve. We will update the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continuing to use the service after the updated terms take effect means you accept them.
12. Applicable law and contact
These terms do not limit any mandatory rights you have under applicable law. Questions, concerns, or notices about these terms can be sent to support@vocabify.ir.
